SWPACC Attends Climbing Advocacy Conference
On May 1-2, several members of SWPACC’s board attended Access Fund’s Climbing Advocacy Conference in Fayetteville, West Virginia. This annual convening brings together climbing stakeholders to discuss regional and national access issues. More than 150 advocates attended, with 27 states represented. SWPACC was one of more than 60 organizations represented, along with our fellow PA LCOs, South Central PA Climbers and Eastern PA Alliance of Climbers.
SWPACC participated in educational sessions covering topics including climbers and wildlife, affinity groups and facilitated access, LCOs and insurance, landowner relations, and much more. We returned to PA inspired and equipped to take what we learned and apply to our projects and initiatives. A big thanks to Access Fund and NRAC for hosting a wonderful weekend.
