Laurelville Retreat Center Fall Workday
SWPACC just opened up a bunch of new routes on LRC land this year–they even paid for the hardware–and this is a great chance to strengthen that relationship so we can add even more climbing. (And if you haven’t checked out the new routes or existing boulder problems, we highly recommend you do so!)
LRC is hosting a Fall Gathering for their Association members and they are showcasing rock climbing! LRC is hoping for 10-15 volunteers to help with access trail work and to lead hikes in the climbing areas. They are interested in working on the following projects on October 17th (and the rest of the fall):
* Opening a new parking lot for climbing and hiking access* Reinforcing the belay platform for sport climbs on the AARP wall* Clearing the new trail to the Hemlocks bouldering area
Our focus for the day will depend on the number of volunteers. For those interested, please sign up at the link below. Additionally, LRC has graciously offered to provide breakfast @8:30 and lunch @12:30, but has requested a head count for planning. If you’d like breakfast and/or lunch, please sign up below BEFORE 10/5.
