we are hosting fun ACTIVITIES and a FUNDRAISER!

ACTIVITIES

Tabling Events: We’ll be at some local gyms to connect with climbers. Come and talk to us!

• Tuesday 4/22 (evening): Tabling at ASCEND South Side
• Thursday 4/24 (evening): Tabling at ASCEND Point Breeze
• Friday 4/25 from 6-10p: Tabling at Iron City Boulders as part of Friday Fun Day

Climbing Socials: We’re climbers who climb together. Please join us for these casual community climbs!

• Tuesday 4/22 from 5-7p: SWPACC promotional film shoot* at Frank Curto Park + social climbing event
• Wednesday 4/23 from 5-7p: SWPACC promotional film shoot* at Breakneck + social climbing event
  • Some folks will be there earlier in the afternoon to climb, too. Join us if you can make it!
• Saturday 4/26 from 10a-12p: ASCEND Climbing Clubs (Women On Walls, Sustainability Club, and others!) + SWPACC co-hosted climbing Boyce Park climbing social

*We’re making a short video about SWPACC to be used on our website and other platforms, to share with climbers what it is we all do, why it’s important, and most of all, why supporting SWPACC via donations, volunteer time, and membership is so critical. We’re going to host some casual climbing sessions so our videographer can film folk climbing and also grab some candid interviews from some people. You don’t need to be interviewed to attend, though, we’d love to have a good number of people at each event!

FUNDRAISER + 10 NEW MEMBERS

Our end of month goal is to raise $1,000, in support of some upcoming workdays (improvements to our beloved climbing areas!) and to help cover the cost of the transcripts from our recent hearing with the Game Commission (more on that in another blog update coming soon!).

We’re also aiming for 10 new SWPACC + Access Fund Members. SWPACC Membership dues and engagement is critical in supporting our mission!

BONUS: If we hit both goals, our friends at ASCEND are going to contribute an additional $100 on top of the $100 already donated to kick off this fundraising campaign. That would mean that your donation is actually going 10% further!

As of 4/16… we have $900 to go and need 10 more new members!
